ReadySetMoney is a student-led initiative dedicated to teaching youth the fundamentals of money, finance, and economic thinking—so every student can start high school prepared.
ReadySetMoney was created by high school students who believe financial literacy should start early. We work with community organizations and schools to deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons to elementary and middle school students.
Our focus is on practical skills—saving, budgeting, goal-setting—and introducing basic ideas in finance and economics in a way that is accessible and empowering.
Understanding needs vs. wants, setting savings goals, and managing money responsibly.
How banks work, what accounts are, and why saving early matters.
Simple ideas like supply and demand, decision-making, and opportunity cost.
Building confidence, responsibility, and planning skills for the future.
